Plan International Ethiopia is looking for a Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) CP Lead to be based in the Country Office.
The Role, main responsibilities
The position provides program management to the team in the development and implementation of quality water and sanitation programmes in accordance with Plan’s Child Centered Community Development (CCCD) approach. He/she ensures that quality of projects delivery is reflected within the entire project cycle and that all field program implementation is undertaken efficiently and effectively. The position holder supports the programme teams to ensure proactive engagement in the area of networking and collaboration, learning and knowledge management within the broader organization and with other partner organizations. He/she is expected to proactively engage in influencing pertinent policies, strategies and practices with the aim to ensure benefit of children and also build institutional capacity of Plan and its partners to effectively respond to WASH related needs; with the overall objective of improving sanitation and hygiene practices and expanding access to sustainable WASH facilities.
The Person
To be successful, you need to have an MSc degree in Hydraulic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, sanitary Engineering, Water Supply Engineering or related field of study with minimum of seven (7) years of work experience for MSc and ten (10) years of experience for BSc with considerable experience in managing WASH projects..
