Organizational Overview: Founded in 2002, by President William J. Clinton and Ira C. Magaziner, the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (“CHAI”) is a global health organization committed to saving lives, reducing the burden of disease and strengthening integrated health systems in low and middle income countries.
CHAI Ethiopia is currently carrying out a wide range of programs to support the Ministry of Health in improving access to and increasing the quality of health services. As one of CHAI’s largest field offices with more than 160 staff, the Ethiopia office operates programs across a wide range of areas, including maternal, newborn and child health; HIV and AIDS; cancer; nutrition; vaccines; health financing; laboratory services and human resources for health.
Job Summary: Under the supervision and guidance of the Program Manager, the M&E officer, Vaccines would be responsible for implementing M&E systems for all Vaccine project objectives for the Supplement project. The M&E officer’s work would be focused on planning; M&E tool development; designing assessments and evaluations; data collection (from the field), compilation and analysis; reporting based on M&E framework ; facilitating review meetings; and documenting best practices. In addition, he/ she will work with other program and central CHAI M&E staff on cross cutting M&E activities such as supportive supervision, M&E capacity building and documenting programs’ lessons learnt.
