The focus of our work in the country is on vocational education, sustainable use of natural resources, land management and food security, biodiversity and forestry. Further programmes enhance the development of a sustainable textile sector and renewable energies. GIZ Sustainable Textile Program (e Tex) and International Water Stewardship Program (IWASP) Ethiopia is looking to recruit a Junior Administrative Officer.

A. Major duties and responsibilities
· Manage petty cash fund
o Prepare cash payment, receipt & settlement vouchers
o Prepare petty cash replenishment summary for replenishment request to finance
o Check all financial documents are reviewed and approved template before payments are effected
§ Report monthly withholding tax, VAT and tax report to ERCA
§ Inform service providers, suppliers and partners for cheque/cash collection
§ Maintain filling of all financial documents
§ Other related activities assigned
B. Tasks
· Manages correspondence letter to the necessary offices when needed.
· Manages daily office operations
· Organizes and coordinates work flow.
· Facilitates information exchange between the projects’ members, work partners and other institutions
· Gathers and disseminates relevant information for the staff
· Handles visitors
· Arranges programs of delegations
· Arrange project activities like meetings, workshops, conferences, VIP-visits etc;
· International and domestic travel and hotel accommodation arrangements for the sector manager and other personnel.
· Manages normal and electronic filing systems
· Keeps track of e-mail, address list etc.
· Facilitates small procurements
· Facilitate small contract
A. Required qualifications, competences and experience
Qualifications
§ First Degree in Accounting business Administration or related field.
Professional experience
§ At least 2-3 years’ work experience in a comparable position with references
Other knowledge, additional competences
§ Ideally, a knowledge of German, or the European language widely used in the country
§ Sensitivity in handling and disposing of documents which may be important
§ Reliability and good organisational skills, appropriate appearance and clothing
