1. Project Overview
Economic Strengthening (ES) is one of the key component of the CHCT activity. The Food insecure PLHIV are linked to ES and participants are assisted by local implementing partner’s staffs to form Village Saving and Loan Associations (VSLAs) after receiving successive trainings in the form of VSLA methodology, basic financial management and preliminary business skill. Hence, this call for proposal is to look for individual qualified trainers that have the capacity to deliver quality TOT on the above mentioned trainings.
Project HOPE seeks a qualified firm and/or individuals for database of Trainers for its Economic strengthening interventions.
Required Service from Consultant:
For this purpose, project HOPE is looking for experienced and competent local trainers to deliver a TOT training on the areas of VSLA methodology, Basic Financial Management Skills and Preliminary business skill.
The key activities of the trainers will be the following:
Education: Minimum degree in sociology, social work, economics, agricultural economics, development studies, business and other related fields. Having masters in the above fields will be advantageous.
Experience: Experience matters most than educational background. Hence, candidates need to have demonstrable experience of working with GOs, NGOs or Private sectors in relevant areas.
1. Duration of the Assignment
The maximum number of days required for this assignment is 15 working days, 5 days for self -preparation on the training materials and development of training note and power points, 5 days for actual training delivery and the remaining 5 days for report preparation for a single session. Where a trainer assigned an additional session by the project based on willingness of the candidate, only his/her additional training delivery days will be accounted in payments as the preparation already done initially.
