Youth Network for Sustainable Development (YNSD) is a non-governmental, non-profit making indigenous organization which was found in 2003 G.C by four school clubs and fifteen youth associations with the vision to see Ethiopian youth holistically empowered and meaningfully participated in country’s sustainable development.
Currently, YNSD is implementing aSexual Reprdocutive Health (SRH) program called Get Up Speak Out (GUSO) in Alliance with Development Expertise Center (DEC), Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE) and Talent Youth Association (TaYA).
Introduction to the Get Up Speak Out (GUSO) Program
Get Up Speak Out Program is a Five year project being implemented in Addis Ababa. GUSO program is a Sexual Reproductive Health Program that to address the SRH challenges among young people between the ages of 10 to 24. The main objective of the programme is to increase the engagement of young people concerning their sexual and reproductive wellbeing and empower them to make informed choices and decisions. In addition, through this program, young people will have improved skills and knowledge, whereby there will be an enhanced and positive attitude among community members, stakeholders and institutions like schools and health facilities regarding Sexuality and Reproductive Health (SRH) services for young people.
Goal of the GUSO Program: The overall goal of the program is to enable all young people, especially girls and young women, being empowered to realize their SRH in societies that are positive towards young people’s sexuality.

YNSD would like to produce a quality best parctice documnet that illiustrate the promising/best practicies of the GUSO alliance that will have positive impact on the program. Objectives of the Best Practice Document
The objective of the Best Practice Document is to produce a document that illustrates the promising practices /best practices of the GUSO Program as well as to increase the GUSO alliance visibility and demonstrate the efforts made by the alliance.
Specifically the consultant will:
Conduct a desk review of relevant documents as provided in order to familiarize with projects issues and message for the spot from all alliance members;
Meet in person with all GUSO Program Technical Team (PTT) from all partners (DEC, FGAE, TaYA and YNSD), Target Groups (students, out of school youth, peer educators and youth advocates) and stakeholders (Project Advisory Group (PAG), school administrators, Youth Center Administrators, Youth Center Reproductive Health Service Providers ) to collect/produce an elaborative best practices/ case stories within the GUSO project teams;
Based on the information provided by GUSO Program Technical Team, target groups and stakeholders, the consultant will develop the design and content for the Document, in English version;
During development of the content, the consultant will ensure the organizations brand identity, use of program terminologies and other related issues as per the program;
Share copy for edition to YNSD ,to receive comments and approval for final edition;
Make any necessary changes based on the feedbacks and comments provided by all the GUSO partners and
Deliver the final soft copy of the document in one month time as discussed and agreed with the alliance.
