Farm Africa is a specialist development NGO based in UK working with smallholder farmers, forest communities, local government and private sectors across East Africa for the last 30 years. Our mission is to reduce poverty by enabling marginal African farmers and herders to make sustainable improvements to their wellbeing through more effective management of their renewable natural resources. We have worked in Ethiopia for over 28 years, throughout Oromia, SNNP, Benishangul, Tigray and Afar regions.
Background:
Farm Africa Ethiopia has recently been awarded a grant from DFID,AID DIRECT a project entitled “Livestock for Livelihood (L4L)” to be implemented from March 2018. This project is a four year project operating in SNNP region in South Omo.
Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of the Admin Assistant and Cashier position is to provide secretarial, record keeping and office support services, handles & manage petty cash of the project. In addition, she/he support the Project Finance and Admin Officer to administer, control, monitor, and periodically summarize the extent of financial operations and performance of the project. She/he provides effective and efficient support and advice to the immediate supervisor and project team as required.
