The farm general manager will be responsible for:
Managing and motivating a large workforce across all divisions of the estate
Monitor the financial aspects of the farm, maintaining accurate records and developing regular budgets
Ensure maximum production is achieved in the most cost-effective manner, through innovative plant programmes, strict implementation of Health & Safety protocols, and a smooth running of the entire production site.
Supporting the setup of the processing operations on the estate, providing technical expertise and advice
Key decision making on the growing side including expansion of the plantation
Plan and monitor the companies environmental and compliance management programmes, ensuring they abide by local politics and global standards.
Ensure all operations are conducted in the dedicated time frames, ensuring only the highest quality product is achieved
Job Requirement
Qualifications: Candidate Requirements with reach skill and experience
Educated to degree level in a related subject area and basic computer skill required
More than 7 years’ experience in an agricultural production manager role
Excellent experience within coffee, knowledge of both growing and processing is essential
Strong financial and technical mindset
Excellent people management skills and experience of managing large workforces
Well-organized and detail-oriented and be able to transform his/her capacity for the growth of the organization
Good communication skill and must be able to understand, write and read English efficiently.
