Verde Beef Processing Plc is supported by an effective HR strategy and team
§ Participate in the development and implementation of an HR strategy which will support the delivery of the Performance Management and improvement tracking systems, Human Resource Manual, Benefit Administration,
§ In coordination with concerned department/department managers, assist the recruitment process as per Verde Beef HR Manual policy and the labor law of the land.
§ Prepare vacancy announcements based on specific job descriptions and skill requirements proposed by the recruiting department and disseminate the announcement of job opportunities internally and externally.
§ Receive job applications, coordinate with at least two panel members of the panel including the recruiting manager to undertake short listing and arrange assessments/ interviews are conducted within a reasonable time.
§ Ensure that all recruitment and selection processes are timely, transparent and fair, observing equal opportunities.
· Orient the panel with recruitment policy and set of procedures and criteria’s every time the members meet for assessment/interview and ensure that the rules and regulations are strictly adhered to while selecting or rejecting candidates. Design new employee selection and employment system and evaluate the existing.
§ Conduct reference checks as a means of obtaining information on strength and weaknesses of selected candidates to strengthen the decision of the panel.
§ Prepare employment minutes based on the recommendations of panel members and secure approval of the HR and Administration Manager or General Manager.
§ Facilitate the preparation of offer letter or employment contract, organize adequate inductions for new joiners and prepare recruitment status report on monthly basis.
§ Ensure that all new employees are registered with the pension scheme and appropriate records are created or updated with PEOSSA.
§ Coordinate and facilitate issuance of ID cards to staff members who don’t have Verde Beef Processing Plc ID.
· Keep and maintain up dated personnel files of Verde Beef Processing Plc staffs.
· Facilitate and follow up of Performance Management; Individual Accountability Plan, six month interim appraisal and annual performance appraisal.
· Giving contracts for new employees & control the renewal of contracts. Follow up end dates of employee’s probation period, contract expiry dates and remind line managers/ immediate supervisors for proper action.
· Conduct and properly manage refreshment trainings, assess the Capacity development needs, compile the personal development requests of all staff.
· Make sure that these HR activities at Verde are implemented with merit and transparency.
· Provides regular or ad hoc timely and accurate reports to the HR & Administration Manager on HR related matters as required.
· Collect suggestion from employee and prepare proposal for solution.
· Closely check and follow up employee attendance.
· Advising concerned work units on CBA implementation and employee relation matters as well as providing counseling to employees on social problems.
· Prepare employment certificates for new recruits’ and service certificates for discharged or resigned employees or for employees on service upon request.
· Acting as the HR & Administration Manager in her absence.
