Edukans is an international NGO with headquarters in Amersfoort, the Netherlands and a local office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We specialise in providing marginalised children and youth around the world with basic education and vocational trainings. We focus on four key themes: quality primary education, youth at work, education in emergencies, and equal opportunities for boys and girls.
Edukans, as the lead organization, is implementing “Linking and Upscaling for Employment” project in North Wollo, South Wollo and Oromo special zone of Amhara regional state together with four grant beneficiaries: Development Expertise Centre (DEC), Hope Enterprises, Confederation of Ethiopian Trade Unions (CETU), and Centro Internazionale Famiglie pro Adozione (CIFA).
This project is part of Stemming Irregular Migration in Northern and Central Ethiopia (SINCE) programme, financed by the European Union Trust fund for Africa and managed by the Embassy of Italy in Ethiopia. The overall objective is to contribute to reduce irregular migration from Northern and Central Ethiopia by improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable population, including potential migrants and returnees with specific focus on youth and women.
Purpose of the Position:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of logistics and procurement activities. The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance and Administration Manager (FAM) and will have overall responsibility for providing logistical and procurement support to the successful implementation of Edukans projects in Ethiopia.
