To drive Concern Worldwide, Ethiopia Vehicles with due care and attention ensuring the safe and transportation of Concern’s staff and resources in order to enable the objectives of the organization.
1. Be aware of the rules and regulations laid by Concern Worldwide regarding the use of Concern
vehicles. If these regulations are unclear bring it to the attention of the Transport/logistics officer or
administrator in absence of logistic/ transport officer.
2. Drive the vehicle in a lawful manner and in accordance with Ethiopian traffic regulations and
Concern Worldwide Transport Policy and Procedures.
3. Position Carry out daily and weekly checks recommended by the vehicle manufacturer and Concern
Worldwide, Ethiopia transport policy. This includes preventive maintenance of vehicles. Ensure fuel
tanks are full prior any journey is carried out.
4. Ensure maintenance and repairs by monitoring service sticker reminder and reporting to Concern
Transport and Logistics officer accordingly in a timely manner, in accordance with manufacturer
recommendations.
5. Fill daily vehicle movement Control and Charge sheet properly, Summarise and submit it at the end of
the month to transport and Logistics Officer.
6. Maintain and submit vehicle logbook information and submit it to the transport and Logistics Officer at
the end of the month.
7. Maintain the cleanness and appearance of the vehicle, as per transport Logistics policy Manual.
8. Maintain the comfort and safety of passengers, as per transport Logistic Policy manual.
9. Maintain the safety and security of goods, as per the Transport Logistics Policy manual.
10. Maintain the safety and security of the vehicle, as per the Transport Logistics Policy manual.
11. Analyse vehicle performance data and make appropriate recommendations.
12. Maintain tyre control tags and monitor tyre performance.
13. Ensure that seat belts are worn at all times and passengers are instructed to fasten them, as per the
Transport and Logistics Policy Manual.
14. Ensure that all equipments and items provided in the vehicle are available and kept safely.
15. Any other assigned work to you by your supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience Required
· Diploma in Auto mechanics with minimum of 3 years driving experience in NGOs
· 3rd grade driving license
· Able to undertake minor vehicle service and maintenance
· Able to read and understand vehicles’ spare part catalogue and repair manual
