This role will manage at field level in Gambella the implementation of EC funded project titled “Building Resilience: Education Opportunities in Fragile and Crisis Affected Environments” as part of the strategy to address Education and Child Protection needs of refugees and host communities residing in Gambella region.
The Project Manager (PM) will manage at Gambella level the “Building Resilience: Education Opportunities in Fragile and Crisis Affected Environments” implemented in different refugee camps and host communities of the region. The project is implemented in partnership with other local education institutions, government institutions, and UNHCR. The PM will work closely with the Consortium management team (Consortium Team Leader and Consortium Finance Manager), the partners and Plan’s field teams in Gambella to ensure timely implementation of all planned project activities. The PM will have the overview of a significant budget and will support a consistent field team.

Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Child Protection (CPP) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
