Ensure a summary of received materials and inventory items to store are prepared, analyzed by category and coded for recording.
Ensures a summary of issued materials/inventory items from Store to Farm, Processing Plant, Workshop, etc is prepared, analyzed and coded for recording.
Reconciles own records with purchase, harvest and consumption reports collected from relevant departments.
Compares actual cost performance with standard/parameters set in the budget WP&B and prepare variance analysis.
Checks entries passed to the Peachtree accounting by the cost accountant and leave trails for doing so.
Checks the stock records kept for each stock items and produces, and verify the summary report of inventories necessary for reconciliation with records of relevant departments like Supply Chain, Agriculture and Processing Departments as well as OIP, etc
Verify the accuracy of the Cost Sheet summary for each export and import operations prepared by the cost accountant
Checks the collected reports of machine hours, maintenance job orders and indirect costs and passes journal entries into the Peachtree accounting
Keeps accounts documents in a chronologically arranged box files
Keeps good communication and relationship with fellow finance team and other colleagues.
Assist and supervise the works of accountants and junior accountants
Perform any assignments given by the immediate supervisor

Job Requirement
Education and Experience:
BA Degree/ Diploma in Accounting or Finance from officially recognized University or College is required.
4 years for B.A and 6 years for Diploma of accounting and Finance related work experience in similar industry is required.
Experience in agro-industry is a plus.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE OR SPECIAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Computer application knowledge in MS Offices and Peachtree Accounting is required.
Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in both English language and the local official language.
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCY:
Ability to work the activities detailed above in time and in a reasonable accuracy.
Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and other staff.
Demonstrate compliance to ‘Company Code of Ethics’ and the nationally accepted Standards for the Practice of accounting.
