Job Summary
Conduct Family planning training evaluation given by partner organizations and Government RHBs to Level 4 Health Extension Workers (L4HEWs) in 4 major regions of the Country
Purpose
As part of L4HEWs initiative by the Federal Ministry of Health, partners are providing trainings on long term family planning methods at different regions in the country and FHI 360 has the responsibility to evaluate the training process provided by these implementing partners and government regional Health Bureau’s in Amhara, Oromia, SNNPR and Tigray regions. For this FHI 360 needs to recruit consultants/data collectors.
Key responsibilities
The consultants will:
1. Evaluate the class room training (both theoretical and model training).
2. Evaluate trainees during their practical attachment in the facilities.
3. Complete the training session on the standard prepared check list and summited to team leader.
4. Collect trainees’ profile data.
5. Prepare trip report and summited to FHI 360.
6. Should Summits complete each individual trainees check list to the technical monitor.
7. Should work where assigned by the team leader
8. Should wear gown or uniform during practical attachment while coaching the trainees at health centers on procedures.
9. Should work cooperatively with other team involved in the training evaluation.
10. Should respect the time schedule at practical and class room session.
11. Should attend discussion among the team lead by the team leader.
12. Should respect clients right
13. Should respect client confidentiality.
14. Finally summit all clearly completed check lists and trip reports soon at the end of training day before leaving the site to the team leader before requesting the final payment.
Qualification requirements:
· Health professional back ground midwife nurse/BSc. clinical Nurse/HO with BSC. Degree trained on Comprehensive Long acting family planning (LAFP) FP and work experience of 3 years in government health facility.
· Health professional back ground MPH with basic training on Comprehensive Long acting family planning (LAFP) method and work experience of 3 years in government health facility.
· Health professional had TOT on Comprehensive Long acting family planning (LAFP) training (specifically on Implanon and IUCD) and work experience of 3-5 years
· Experience of coaching clinical procedures at health facility
· Experience of conducting supervision
· Currently have no work and present clearance
· Currently working in health facility and present annual leave or leave without pay from his/her organization
· Volunteer to work only when the training evaluation is available or when requested to work.
· Agree to provide consultancy services based on the scale of FHI 360 organization.
· Ability to delivery training and supervision report
· Knowing local language, as per to the region of implementation, is an advantageous.
· Prepare trip report.
· Willing to walk distance in rural areas.
· Have Microsoft computer skills
