Maternity Foundation is seeking an experienced MCH Coordinator to support the Hub Office in Addis Ababa and the Regional offices in the provision of Basic Emergency Obstetrics and New Born Care trainings and mentorship program across the country, as well as one Finance Officer/Casher.
Maternity Foundation (MF) has been operating in Ethiopia since 2006 through offices in Addis Ababa, Oromia region in Gimbie and Anfilo, Somali region in Jigjig and Gode and Gambella. MF has operational partnerships with Regional health authorities, ARRA as well as technical and development partners including UNHCR, UNFPA and others.

Key responsibilities:
The MNH Coordinator is responsible to plan, coordinate and execute the implementation of the MNH activities i.e. BEmONC trainings, BEmONC onsite follow-ups and mentership, ToT trainings, and pre service coordination. The MCH Coordinator is responsible to participate in assessments and provide reports on a monthly basis.
Tasks:
Plan and execute maternal and newborn health activities
Conduct BEmONC trainings, onsite mentoring and TOT trainings
Take part in the integration of the safe delivery application with teaching institutions and follow
Follow the use of the e- course by health professionals which is developed by Maternity Foundation in collaboration with FMOH.
Keep track of progress and compile monthly reports to maternal and digital health advisor
Participate in assessments and evaluations
Travel between health facilities and regions as needed
Liaise with technical steering groups for MNH response on-the-ground
Liaise with the head office and represent/ take part in national and regional technical working groups at Ministry of Health, regional health bureaus and development partners
Liaise with the project trainers and Maternity Foundation taskforce members/experts at the filed level
Duration: One year with Possibility of Extension
Location: Ethiopia (Position will be based in any of MF offices, with frequent travels)

Job Requirement
Skills and Experience needed:
MPH/related second degree with midwifery background
Trained and experienced BEmONC instructor and onsite mentor at least for 3 years with safe delivery application
Strong asset, if ToT trained on Safe Delivery App integrated BEmONC training by MF and FMOH
Experience with community health worker training
Experience with project planning and implementation
Competences: Dedicated and self-motivated, structured, able to work under challenging conditions, organizing and planning skills, adaptability, innovative and creative thinker/trainer, ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision and willing to travel frequently.
