This role will ensure the implementation of Plan’s Child Protection Policy in PIE and thus protects children from abuse from all that come in to contact with them through Plan’s work.
The purpose of this position is to lead the implementation of the child, early and forced marriage and adolescents sexual reproductive health rights project with greater emphasis on Child Protection and Gender equality at SNNP PAs and ensure support and linkages to the HTP and the other Country Programs. The post holder is responsible for the deliveries of results in line with pre agreed program plans and objectives and oversees the implementation of the CEFM & ASRHR project in the PAs and contribute towards achieving the country program goal of improved protection mechanisms and community practices against harmful traditions and violence against children, and promotion of adolescent sexual reproductive health rights. Plan Ethiopia has put in place a CP policy that all of its staff must adhere to and sign.
The post holder is responsible for project design, overseeing implementation and monitoring while ensuring quality program delivery of the overall CEFM & ASRHR project and child protection country program activities. She/he ensures integration as well as smooth teamwork within and across other county programs at the program Area level. Key components of the position also include regional advocacy and networking, strategic thematic area planning, developing and strengthening partnerships and mainstreaming of child centred community development.
