Position Title II: Market System Development Specialist

Duty Station: Arba Minch, SNNPR Region
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
Market System Development Specialist will work with Building Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Extremes and Disasters (BRACED) site team in four woredas namely Arba Minch zuria, Derashe, Konso and Alle in SNNPR state. The project tests innovative market based tools to improve the resilience of economic and social system in SNNP region which will enable vulnerable agro-pastoral households and communities in rural and pre- urban areas to manage risk, and to successful transform their livelihood base.
The Market Systems Development Specialist will also be a member of the MC Economic and Markets Development (EMD) Team, which uses market systems development to stimulate economic growth to create wealth and jobs for the poorest while maximizing investment from the private and public sectors. As a member of the EMD team, the Market Systems Development specialist will contribute analytical thinking and innovative approaches and will support integration and harmony of approaches across all Mercy Corps Ethiopia market-driven programs.
