The Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) was established in 1970 with the support of Save the Children Organizations of Norway and Sweden in collaboration with the Ethiopian Government.
Mandates given to AHRI are to undertake biomedical, clinical and medical biotechnology research and adopt and implement scientific technologies to improve clinical care, health and well-being of the public; conduct clinical trials on new and improved medical diagnostic methods, vaccines and drugs to improve public health; build capacity of higher education and related institutions in the areas of biomedical, clinical and medical biotechnology research; and serve as a center of excellence in medical research and training
To this end, Armauer Hansen Research Institute planned to recruit energetic and skillful for the position of Planning and Partnership Specialist.
Responsibilities of the Contract Worker
· Identify potential local, regional and international collaborators and establish partnerships
· Develop plan of action for the development of strategic and annual planning
· Ensure the availability of all relevant information and evidences for planning
· Design and produce draft plans
· Organize and conduct workshops, consultative meetings, professional debates, etc to enrich and produce the plan
· Communicate and consult professionals and stakeholders for the planning and process the document preparation based on the feedbacks
· Document and prepare reports for the consumption of various stakeholders including parliament, sector offices, partners, etc.
· Support and follow other departments in the preparation of plans and reports
· Develop annual plans, prepare BSC and weekly plans
· Write and submit reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annually and annually
· Review the performance indicators and reports produced by different stakeholders and suggest the necessary changes as needed;
· Provide written feedback based on received reports and documents
· Compilation of reports and submission for decision
· Prepare and communicate evaluation reports and recommendations
· Any other duty as may be assigned that is consistent with the nature of the job and its level of responsibility
Required Qualification & Experiences:
· MA Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Health Economics, Health Informatics, Public Health or related profession and 5 years relevant experience. OR BSc Degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Economics, Public Health or related profession and 7 years relevant experience.
· Must have Proven Experience on Health planning and monitoring and Evaluation
Required Skills:
· Relevant experience in health program planning, project management and M & E
· Experience/Knowledge about the Ethiopian Health sector development program and the health system researches
· Familiarity with health systems policies and sect oral reform processes,
· Computer skills: proficiency on MS office products, Statistical software’s(SPSS, Epi-Info, STATA) DHIS2
· English Language proficiency both written and spoken
