Feed the Future Ethiopia Value Chain Activity is a five-year program that will run from January 2017 to December 2021 as part of the US Government’s Feed the Future Initiative and the Government of Ethiopia’s Agricultural Growth Program (AGP-II). This activity functions as the principal contributor to Component 4 of AGP-II: Agriculture Marketing & Value Chains, with an overall objective of improving agricultural productivity and commercialization of smallholder agriculture in the four regions of Tigray, Amhara, SNNPR, and Oromia.
We focus our support across the private sector; which plays the key role in transformational change through investing in market linkages and new products, driving technology innovation, and clustering business impact through effective platforms
Objective:
· To capture high quality and high-resolution images of individuals, activities, agriculture/farm work and demonstrations, results, and field visits/locations of target communities of the activity
· The photographer is required to have her/his own equipment
· Once assigned, the photographer should be available for travel to operation areas of the activity. Transportation and logistical arrangements will be facilitated by Fintrac.
Main duties and responsibilities:
· To capture high-resolution images of individuals, families, groups, events and field locations related to the implementation of activity;
· Provide at least 20 selected images per each assignment site;
· Caption each photograph with specific and clear details including geographical location, time, the name of the person(s), activity and any other relevant information
· Captions should be embedded in the images and also be provided in a separate text/word document.
Specific requirements for images:
· Colour, Black and White;
· Deliver in electronic form (CD, DVD or flash drive)
· Format of electronic pictures: JPEG, maximum TIFF, PNG;
· High resolution -2048 x 1536 (3.1 megapixels), which can scale up to A2 size/16.5 x 23.4 in/ print size @ 300 dpi
Expected deliverables:
· All Photographs with detailed captions/photo descriptions
· Captions in a separate text/word document
· Selected 30 ‘Best of’ photographs that have been taken from each site, during the assignment
· Photographs shall be provided to Fintrac with a hard drive, flash disk or CD/DVD
· Photographs shall conform appropriate and culturally accepted visual portrayal of programme related areas
