About the project
JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. seeks to recruit health information system professionals, as well as finance and administrative staff for its Data Use Project (DUP). The goal of the project is to improve collection and use of high-quality routine information; improve the quality, efficiency, and availability of primary health, and nutrition services at all levels of the Ethiopian health system. JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI) is a public health management consulting and research organization dedicated to improving the health of individuals and communities throughout the world.
Summary of Responsibilities
The G-Suite Administrator will be embedded in the Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH) and manages the G-Suite environment. This includes - managing user accounts, roles, and permissions; providing training to end-users; building the capacity of the FMOH staff to manage the G-Suite; contributing to the development of ICT policy on the use of the G-Suite apps; ensuring that all required security apparatuses are put in place to protect user data; responds to end-users support requests; etc.
Specific Responsibilities
The system admin will work in collaboration with the FMoH team and assist the central and regional project teams to:
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related fields with more than 5 years of work experience
Experience
Minimum 2 years of strong knowledge of G Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Hangouts, etc.); experience working with cloud-based services; end-user training; knowledge on an end-user support; work experience in helpdesks;
Additional: Network and System Administration
Language Proficiency
Excellent knowledge (spoken and written) of English and Amharic languages
Ability to: Communicate to technical peers as well as non-technical FMoH/RHB staffs; learn and adopt new technologies; handle tight deadlines and multi-task on a number of projects
