The General Service Supervisor will coordinate and control the company’s cleaning, security, catering, office maintenance, transport, liaising and other services that fall under general services responsibility.
Cleaning
Supervision of all cleaning staff performance in terms of standards of cleanliness
Ensuring that the best cleaning service is delivered to all areas of the building
Reviewing work schedules
Ordering of cleaning materials
Monitoring of all cleaning activities
Ensuring all staff are aware of the Health and Safety policies and procedures
Security
Liaises with and supervises security officers
Ensures that all the parameters are secure
monitor security the activities of security staff
Ensure all security rules and regulations are followed and implemented by security staff
Responsible for monitoring the electronic surveillance equipment used on the premises
Maintenance
Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for facility maintenance.
Ensure to maintain adequate inventories of tools, supplies and parts for accurate repair of the facility
Establish schedules and methods for providing facility maintenance services; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate management staff; allocate resources accordingly
Prepare cost estimates; monitor and submit justifications for expenditure
Monitor and control supplies and tools; prepare documents for supplies and tools procurement; prepare specifications
Develop and organize preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs
Coordinate construction projects, remodels, and other special projects
Coordinate with contractors in providing contract services
Café
Supervises café services and resolves customer complaints
Ensures menu items consider taste of customers
Oversees all functions of Café staff
Controls the safety, cleanliness and healthiness of the café and the kitchen
Controls food item stock and proper handling and use
Ensures kitchen equipment are properly used and maintained
Transport
Controls and coordinates the company’s transport system
Supervises consumables like fuel and tyre, report and correct irregularities
Control and follow-up of all staff service car arrival and departure time
Closely monitor performance of drivers and handle administrative issues
Others
The general service supervisor will in-office activities like writing correspondences, keeping files and records and preparing periodic and ad-hoc reports
Handle other tasks as required and as requested
Job Requirement
Professional Qualification and Experience
Diploma in Management, Procurement or BA degree in Management, Logistics management, Business Management or similar fields with a minimum of 3 years experience for degree holders and 5 years similar experience for Diploma holders in general service and administrative areas
