The Ethiopian Midwives Association (EMwA) is a legally registered, autonomous, and not-for-profit professional association established in 1992 and re-registered under the new civil society proclamation. Ethiopian Midwives Association (EMwA) operates in all regions of Ethiopia by using and works for the quality of midwifery education and care. The primary goal of EMwA is to contribute towards the reduction of maternal and child mortality and morbidity in Ethiopia, which are the SDG’s global initiatives. The mission of the association is to promote and enhance the expansion, performance and status of the midwifery profession through adapting quality and evidence based practices, adhering to the code of ethics and empowering the professionals.
To reach its vision and mission, EMwA has been implementing many programs and projects over the last decades in different parts of Ethiopia under its four strategic directions: Capacity Building, Partnership and Networking, Advocacy and Representation, Research and Publication. 50,000 Happy Birthdays project is one of the new projects, supported by International Confederation of Midwives (ICM). The goal of the project is to contribute to quality maternal and newborn health care by strengthening midwives’ competencies in saving lives at birth in Ethiopia though the Strategy of Low Dose High Frequency (LDHF) approach by using simulators.
Thus, EMwA would like to invite competent professional MASTER TRAINERS to work with as a consultant on Helping Baby Survive (HBS).
Job Requirement
The Master trainers shall have the following expertise and qualifications:
BSc or above in health (Midwifery, Nursing and Health Officer)
At least 4 years experience on clinical services
Having Master TOT Certificate on Helping Baby Survives (HBS) (please attach the Certificate)
Having proven experience on providing HBS training at least providing three rounds and able to bring letter of experience from recognized organization (please attach Certificate)
