ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced Senior Health Officer for its Humanitarian Response Programmes located at HRP filed – Goro Muti CMAM Project intervention with a dynamic, technically competent and motivated personality to lead, inspire and manage the overall operation of the Community based Management of Acute Malnutrition team and will monitor, supervise and couch the MHNT and targeted health facilities in the project sites. He/she will work with the GOAL Nutrition team and other officers within the field office to enhance their participation and involvement in prevention, awareness creation and capacity building of woreda based government health staffs.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an experienced Senior Health Officer with humanitarian work experience. You'll be responsible for the day to day management of Primary Health and Nutrition Care project implemented in the operational Woreda. Provision of primary health care service and management of Mobile Health and Nutrition Team (MHNT) is a key component of the position holder.
REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma/ BSc in Public Health, Nursing with a minimum of three years’ experience preferably in NGO and out of which 2 years should be in outreach health and nutrition projects.
Desirable qualities, Skills and Competences: (list of qualities that are considered desirable for the specific post):
Knowledge of local language, Oromiffa is a must.
Have good understanding and hands on experience on mobile health and nutrition projects.
Familiarity to the local culture.
Passionate, strongly dedicated and highly committed to work for the improvement of the poor community.
Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary: Birr 13,919.00 per month
Pension: (11% from employer and 7% from employee)
Transportation Allowance: 10% of monthly salary
Hardship Allowance: 30% of monthly salary based on place of assignment.
Medical Allowance: Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
