PIN currently invites applicants for the position of Field Coordinator (1#) for specific project called “Emergency response to the most acute WASH and Shelter needs of IDPs in Gedeo Zone, Ethiopia ”
Length of Contract: for 6 months
Main responsibilities:
o Coordinate with different actors operating in IDP camps sites and hosting communities
o Design appropriate distribution mechanism at IDP camp site level and sure proper distribution of NFI for intended beneficiaries
o Design community-level activities in connection with trench latrine construction and communal showers, drop off points for water trucking and other project activities in collaboration with the Project Manager and local partners.
o Suggest possible changes in activities based on project performance and achieving the desired outcomes
o Ensure an excellent working relationship with partners, local government and communities
o Strong coordination with all relevant offices
o Supervise, lead and build the capacity of the Field Officers
o Adhering to PIN, government and donors’ policies.
o Internal reporting, tracking project progress
o BSc degree in Water Management, Water Engineering and other WASH related fields of study
o Minimum 4 years of work experience in project coordination and minimum of 2 years’ experience in emergency project coordination.
o Experience of managing teams, strong coordination skills
o Strong experience with PCM, ability to meet deadlines
o Excellent written communication skills and ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.)
o Strong organizational and emergency project management skills, and ability to deliver within tight deadlines
o Excellent knowledge of spoken & written Amharic and English. Fluency in local language of the area will be an advantage.
