GOAL has been working in Ethiopia since 1984 implementing a range of multi-sectoral development, resiliency and humanitarian responses. GOAL Ethiopia is currently working with street children, pastoralists and rural small holders and responds to humanitarian crises in Ethiopia by working closely with local communities, local government and other key actors with a strong emphasis on resiliency, preparedness and longer term impacts. GOAL Ethiopia's major funders are USAID, OFDA, ECHO, BPRM, Irish Aid and UNOCHA.
ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced Roving Donor Compliance Officer for its Humanitarian Response Programmes located at Somali- Warder programme with a dynamic, technically competent and motivated personality. Roving Donor Compliance Officer needs to promote a culture of knowledge of specific donors, GOAL and Government rules and regulations and ensure compliance with those rules and regulations in Dollo Ado Somali region field sites.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an experienced with humanitarian works with flexible and creative approach, highly motivated and able to take the initiative and work unsupervised fosters working in teams & team work spirit, you also be engaged into the overall management of the day to day activities. You will ensure collaboration and organized planning and resources utilization with HRP Regional programme Managers effective programme delivery.
· BA in accounting or related field with a minimum of four years of related work experience out of this 1-2 years should be at supervisory level.
Desirable qualities, Skills and Competences:
· Proven experience working on projects funded by USAID/OFDA, ECHO, EHAF, Irish Aid etc.
· Outgoing personality with excellent communication and training skills.
· excellent report writing skill
· Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to determine priorities and giving attention to details a must;
· Ability to manage/work along with professional people from operation and finance backgrounds;
· High – level skills in MS office application software.
· Ability to analyze and synthesize a Varity of material in a fast – paced environment;
· Ability to work on their own, a self-starter with high energy levels and the capability to work with in a multi-cultural team;
· Understanding of the Humanitarian response programme nature and willingness to travel, to live in field site and work in rural locations.
· Good team player, flexible and capable of working with an international country team.
· Accountability & responsiveness within areas of responsibilities.
· Gender sensitive.
Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary: Birr 11,401.00 per month
Pension: (11% from employer and 7% from employee)
Transportation Allowance: 10% of monthly salary
Hardship Allowance: 50% of monthly salary.
Medical Allowance: Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
