SNV with the financial support from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) developed a project called ‘Strengthening the Enabling Environment for Clean Cooking (SEECCS)’ project. The objective of the project is ‘to strengthen the enabling environment of clean cooking sector of Ethiopia with interventions around organizational and institutional capacity development and sector facilitation, including for Improved Cookstoves, biogas and bio-fuel’’.
Objective of the workshop
The objective of this workshop is to discuss on the overall approach of the project, the formulated action plan for the implementation phase and to enrich the action plan as per the feedback from key stakeholders. This will help to create common understanding about the scope of the project among all key stakeholders. Moreover, it will also help to avoid duplication of efforts among different partners to achieve a specific output. Rather it will contribute to devise an approach that promotes projects to complement each other for better result and efficient use of resources.
Purpose of the assignment
The purpose of this assignment is to moderate the project planning workshop as well as provide technical input in conceptual and methodological matters whenever needed.
The required expertise:
The consultant must have the following expertise:
a) Minimum master’s degree in relevant discipline like, renewable energy or environment, rural development, development studies, economics, etc.
b) Thorough experience in workshop moderation/facilitation techniques mainly project planning and project evaluation
c) Basic knowledge about the clean cooking sector and partners engaged in promoting the sector
d) Good coordination/communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within the deadline with quality analyses and reporting in British English.
