Ethiopian Public Health Association (EPHA) is pleased to announce a call for consultancy services on comparative research entitled “Sharing the delivery of Long-Acting Family Planning (LAFP) Services with Level-IV Health Extension workers in Ethiopia:
The purpose of the study is to investigate the effectiveness of the implementation of task sharing in the delivery of LARC services at the community level in EPHA 35 project woredas compared with services provided at health center level out of EPHA project woredas.

Number of Consultants needed: 1 (one individual consultant preferably who has a license)
Duties and Responsibilities
Review policies, rules and regulations of and the project document
Develop complete research proposal based on the ToR with due consideration of comments from EPHA, FMOH, Packard foundation and Oromia region staff
Present an overall sampling strategy and timeline for all activities including data collection
Ensure all tools are revised, translated into local language and piloted with LARC users and providers prior to enumerators training
Prepare and conduct enumerator training with support from EPHA
Oversee data collection as determine by EPHA including, spot checking, supervision, coordination and management of field logistics
Submit an inception report, and provide region level updates on progress in data collection
Review data entry to ensure data quality and consistency and take corrective actions, where necessary;
Ensure all training materials, original data collection tools are maintained and submitted to EPHA with the final data set
Verify, process and analyze all raw data
Write draft and final report, incorporating feedback from EPHA and other collaborating bodies;
In collaboration with EPHA, organize dissemination workshop
Prepare article/s to be published and strive for publication
Job Requirement
PhD or Masters in Public Health (RH/Epidemiology), Demography or related fields
Minimum of 10 years Demonstrated experience in training provision and facilitation, communication and analytical skill
Demonstrated experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative data analysis
Proven experience in health research administration
Ability to produce high quality work under tight timeframes
Willing and committed to work jointly with the EPHA, RTPD and integrate feedback as required
Knowledge and work experience with MNCH, ARHR, and FP issues, policies and services systems
Have Number of publications in RH/FP services studies
Fluency in English and Amharic (Spoken and written)
