Further programs enhance the development of a sustainable textile sector and renewable energies. GIZ Energizing Development Ethiopia is looking for a qualified candidate as per the detail below:

The incumbent shall be responsible for assisting all matters related to secretarial activities including the execution of the functions of SNNPR Solar Energy Association under close supervision of the executives of the associations.
A. Responsibilities
The Intern is responsible for:
· Assisting in the planning, implementation and monitoring of market development interventions, with the associations members and executives
· Assist in the creation of synergy between the associations and different RE sector stakeholders including relevant government bureaus, universities, development agencies

· Participates in identifying needs for members support and advice and develops a strategic approach
· Follows up the implementation of the associations’ plans and activities in close coordination with associations’ executives
· Assist in the monitoring progress, reviews reports and documents concerning the progress of collaborative programs, determines bottlenecks and recommends alternative courses of management action to the associations’ executives;

§ Provides feedback to the associations executives on technology development and adaptation issues and technical support for producers (stove, hydro, solar)
§ Liaises with third parties to provide business development services for the associations and their members
§ Works on behalf of the associations to coordinate promotion of RE technologies and environmental awareness as well as dissemination of improved energy technologies
§ Coordinates with the associations to take part in studies, assessments, surveys, etc in relation to renewable energy sector
3. Administrative and Secretarial tasks

§ Typing of general correspondences, reports, manuals and memos using computer both in English and Amharic languages
§ Drafting of letters to different persons and organizations
§ Preparation of minutes of association board members meetings and of other meetings if required
§ Receiving incoming e-mail and other messages to the associations and correspondences and re-routes them to concerned persons or offices
§ ensuring that messages and outgoing correspondences are dispatched by mail, e-mail, hand or fax
§ Handling of telephone calls
§ Arranges appointments with persons from outside the associations and schedules visitors to associations members and executives
§ Responsible for proper filing of all incoming and outgoing documents according to associations filing systems
§ Documents workshop and training proceedings
§ Organizes associations participations in exhibitions and trade-fairs
§ Assists in association members and board members in preparation of financial handlings
§ Assisting in other financial duties as the need arises

Information/Knowledge Management, PR and Communications
§ Contributes to the design, storing, processing and dissemination of information and knowledge products
§ Organizes and maintains the associations documentation and filing system
§
§ Implements electronic and paper filing systems
§ Organises digital photos in sub-directories, edits and print photos for manuals and exhibitions
§ Types and edits reports, training manuals and other documents including graphic applications
§ Receiving, reviewing and entering data into computer system or tracking database according to established procedures
§ Producing and disseminating materials for communicating information; maintain photo library for use across a range of communications forms
§ Keeping the public informed about associations’ goals, initiatives, policies and business endeavours
§ Helping the development of the design, content, production, and distribution of electronic and print products
§ Assist and coordinate the production of other internal and external communications, publications, and materials in consultation with the associations members and executives
A. Required qualifications
Qualifications
§ BSc degree in Management, Business administration or any related field of study
B. Other knowledge, additional competences
§ good working knowledge of ITC technologies related software, and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
§ good knowledge of English language
