Objective:
CARE Ethiopia’s Female-only Internship Program offers an outstanding fresh graduates an opportunity to acquire direct exposure to development and humanitarian work with learning and growth opportunities and professional work experience. The program prepares interns for future job prospects in or outside of CARE. Interns in turn, become a significant asset to the organization since they can potentially offer excellent academic credentials, including most recent thinking and research tools in their area of study.
Scope of Work
The Livelihoods for Resilience Activity supports households in the Government’s Productive Safety Net Program (PSNP) to build resilient livelihoods with improved food and nutrition security, even in face of shocks and stresses.
The Livelihoods for Resilience Activity encourages rural women’s participation in village economic and social associations (VESAs) and builds their capacity to participate in a variety of economic activities, including crop and livestock activities, off-farm activities, and employment. The project seeks to build women and girls’ capacity and agency through training, active inclusion in groups, and facilitation of discussions on social norms, including mobility (such as women traveling to the market) and equitable divisions of labor within the household.
The intern will provide a holistic support to the department with particular focus gender.

B.A or MA in Gender studies, Development, Law, Human right, Social work, and related fields
WORK EXPERIENCE: 0-1 Year Maximum
Desired Technical Skills
Excellent written and spoken English and excellent computer skills, particularly Word and Excel and familiarity with CARE and reasonable knowledge about its approach and programs
