DESCRIPTION
The Pastry Chef will be responsible with the management of day-to-day baking and pastry operations of the School culinary department, upholding service standards, and helping to the school community. Products and services must be of quality standards and may include baked goods, pastries, and desserts for: snacks, catered events, and special functions; weekend family day service and holiday/seasonal lunch and dinner menus; and birthday cakes, and various special orders. Other duties include: ordering, receiving, and proper handling of product, developing new menu ideas, meeting with the school community when appropriate, training staff and ensuring that all product is fresh and of quality. Position will also work with baking and pastry apprentices and externs, and will provide general support to the Kitchen team.Qualification and Experience:
