The position holder will provide a technical support to the managements of severely and moderately malnourished children, BSFP activity and Community mobilization. This is an outreach position requiring traveling to remote and isolated locations.
· Perform Follow up of BSFP activities and ensure they are implemented as planned
· Will provide technical support in the in OTP from screening to discharge (admission, treatment, follow up and referral) to provide care to under six months old malnourished children
· Will provide care and support in Stabilization Center (admission, treatment, follow up and referral) to all malnourished children.
· Assist Community outreach agents on Community mobilization and Mass screening
· Ensure the appropriate referral system between SCs, OTPs and TSFPs, BSFP and outreach.
· Ensure the cards, registration books and other necessary formats are filled and documented properly
· Ensure that the families of malnourished children receive appropriate education
· Ensure observance and respect the dignity of beneficiaries, careers and members of the community at all times.
o Promote gender equity and equality through each level of activities
· Plan with SCs staffs and other health workers working in CMAM program in Jewi.
· Ensure participation of the target group on the program
· Ensure the nutrition items reach to the intended beneficiaries
· Collect weekly SC/OTP data (admission and exit status) and report weekly and monthly including updates to senior nutrition officer; and ensure report reaches timely base to responsible body.
· Participate on health and nutrition related assessments
Performs Other duties as assigned· BSc/Diploma in Nursing, Public health, Nutrition
· Minimum of 2 years working experience in Community management of acute malnutrition including demonstrated work experience in stabilization center.
· Good technical knowledge of management and treatment procedures in SC, OTP, TSFP, BSFP
· Ability and willingness to Cover all programs in community management of acute malnutrition
· Training on community management of acute malnutrition.
· Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet tight deadlines
· Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions Good interpersonal and communication skills
· Proficiency in spoken and written English, and Knowledge of Local language is advantage.
