Define, update and implement a project EHS plan including all EHS requirements of all relevant project stakeholders
Assess risks and hazards in the workplace and compile into comprehensive risk assessment with the necessary mitigation controls in close cooperation with project management with particular focus on electric safety
Prepare corresponding method statements and where required permit to work system
Conduct tool box talks and training measures to ensure proper understanding of defined EHS measures and programs
Conduct regular site visits and ensure that EHS requirements are fully complied with and identify unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards, investigate root causes in accordance with the company procedures, identify and implement corrective and preventative actions and report to Coordinate and participates in incident investigations and ensure that lessons learnt are appropriately developed and implemented
Coordinate regular EHS meetings with partners (contractors and subcontractors) to discuss project progress and challenges and to ensure their compliance with EHS requirements and adherence to safety standards
Provide regular EHS progress update, internal and external EHS reports to relevant stakeholders
Participate in internal and external project meetings and present and discuss EHS topics
Establish and maintain operational contact to relevant external authorities
Implement and support EHS Leadership measures (e.g. Safety Walk and Talk, Safety moment, etc.)
Keep abreast with all respective regulations and standards in regional or local law and Siemens standards

Job Requirement
Completed Degree / National Diploma in Safety Management and/or EHS/HSE and Studies in the field of electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on high-voltage systems, alternatively several years of professional experience as an electrician in the field of high voltage (LOTO, isolation, usage of circuit breaker, set-up of power distribution concepts, precautions for working near life energy, etc.)
LOTO training (not older than 2 years)
Ability to maintain visual attention including colour vision and depth perception.
Advanced knowledge of EHS requirements for project business and project related stakeholders (e.g. industry standards, World Bank, etc.)
Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in global projects (including outside mother country) and/or interdisciplinary teams in related field and successful demonstration of tasks and responsibilities as presented above
Work experience and proper understanding of project business in the area of electrical substations and civil works (ideally HVDC)
Interact effectively with people from different cultures and/or interdisciplinary teams
Advanced communication and presentation skills to ensure meeting target needs and respectful interaction
Effective team player on tasks in a personal and virtual environment with focus on collaborative decision making
Proper understanding and experience in project management methodologies (e.g. PM@Siemens)
Advanced audit skills
Advanced skills in ISO 9001, 14001 and OSHAS 18001 Standards
