Assist with day to day operations of the Department.
Provide clerical and administrative support to the Manager (entering, formatting and printing information; organizing work, answering telephone replaying messages, maintaining equipment and supplies within the Department)
Assis in the management of HR systems.
Compile and Update employee personal files (Hard and soft copies)
Prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievance, and performance evaluation) and documentation of the same.
Coordinate meetings, taking minutes…etc.
Deal with employee requests regarding HR issues, rules and regulations
Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (Absence, OT, bonus, leaves etc.)
Communicate with external service providers as necessary.
Assist in complaints and grievance procedures;
Conduct or assist in initial orientation to newly hired employees.
Ensure HR related company policies are observed.
Ensure Ethiopian labor law is enforced
Assist in administering employee benefit programs including but not limited to insurance, canteen, transportation etc.
Follow up and coordinate with supervisors/managers for everyday time & attendance.
Coordinate with relevant departments to issue IDs, Company e-mails and other relevant security passes for employees.
Monitor all types of leaves and report to the manager.
Assist with performance evaluation, salary reviews and other incentive schemes.
Compile files and maintain employee personal files and other legal documents with proper care.
Assist in the development of necessary HR structures, policies, rules and regulation; and ensure they are enforced by persistent follow up.
Assist other functions with their request
Build good relationship with government and public offices and conduct facilitation works as necessary.
Assist the manager with other ad-hoc tasks as necessary.
The individual will work closely with all departments and employees of the Company.
Monitor, facilitate or perform liaising tasks with government offices as necessary.
Job Requirement
Proven experience as HR Generalist/Administrator/Assistant with 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in an international organization.
Excellent oral and written skills for both English and Amharic languages
Excellent detail orientation skill
Strong Problem-Solving Skill.
Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and or similar programs.
Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent team player and also able to work independently.
Excellent organizational & administrative skills
High level of adaptability

Very good understanding of HR systems and payroll procedures
