Role and responsibilities
The purpose of the Officer position is to assist with day-to-day implementation of the Education in emergency in Erer where He/She will play guidance and supervision role in the implementation of the Education in emergency project in Dawa and Liban Zones by OWDA partner.
Generic responsibilities
Specific responsibilities
· He or She would be working with other partners in the consortium and coordinate the entire education in emergency planned and agreed activities accordingly.
· He or She would work closely with other partners of the project in ensuring effective and timely implementation of the project in both outsourced and directly implemented project activities.
· The officer is expected to frequently travel to project sites and follow up on project activities provide support and assess needs as per the project document.
· The officer would establish smooth relationship with stakeholders including government and community structures to ensure effective coordination and support is directed to the service delivery of the project.
· The officer would be planning project activities, monitor the financial related plans including procurement and bid process facilitation.
· The officer is expected to continuously provide project reports and reviews to NRC and stakeholders including according to donor regulations.
· The officer would also be an active member in the Education cluster coordination and other related forums, participate in multi-sectoral assessment and present the results for development.
· He is expected to adhere to and reflect on NRC’s core values throughout the project cycle implementation process.

Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
· Some experience in working with government authorities and vulnerable beneficiaries
· Educational leadership experience in INGO in Somali Region is an asset
· Proven skills and experience in case management and conflict resolution
· Advanced computer skills, especially in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
· Fluency in written and spoken Somali and English
