ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced Roving Donor Compliance Officer for its Head office with a dynamic, technically competent and motivated personality. Roving Donor Compliance Officer needs to promote a culture of knowledge of specific Donors, GOAL and Government rules and regulations. The Senior Roving Compliance Officer will be dedicated to ensure oversight of all policies, procedures and compliance with GOAL, Donor and Government regulations.
ABOUT YOU
You'll review of all Financial, Programme, HR, Logistics, Procurement documents submitted from Somali field office either in hard or soft copy, develop/revise a relevant checklist/system to insure compliance at all stages of the grant, in liaison with the Roving teams (Roving Finance, Logs etc.), department heads, Internal Audit, Compliance training and Support Manager etc. assess the gap and organize relevant trainings to the field staff. You will be based in Addis Ababa with regular travel to Somali and other field sites based on the agreed field visit plan.
· BA in Accounting or other related fields with 4 years’ experience.
Key qualities, Skills and Competences:
· Willingness to travel to the field sites.
· Proven experience working on projects funded by USAID/OFDA, ECHO, Irish Aid etc.
· Excellent written and spoken English, communication and training skills
· Excellent computer skills and report writing
· Ability to determine priorities and giving attention to details.
· Ability to manage/work along with professional people from operation and finance backgrounds.
· Ability to analyze and synthesize a variety of material in a fast – paced environment.
· A self-starter with high energy levels and capacity to work with in a multi-cultural team.
Essential criteria:
· Ethiopian National, Residence ID or permit to work in Ethiopia is a must
Desirable qualities, Skills and Competences:
· ACCA
· Two years’ experience in Audit
· Knowledge of local culture and being a Somaligna language speaker will be an added advantage.
Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary: Birr 18,082.00 – 22,568.00 per month
Pension: (11% from employer and 7% from employee)
Transportation Allowance: 10% of monthly salary
Taxi fare, 300 birr/month.
Medical Allowance: Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
