ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced worker to join GOAL Ethiopia, HRP team and this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team. You will be joining the organisation at a moving time of growth and change and you’ll be instrumental in providing support in the delivery of the Program to the organisation and its employees. The Assistant Regional Logistics Coordinator will have a coordinating role of all the logistics activities in Rural Development and Humanitarian Response Programme through proper planning, guidance, communication and liaison with respective regional teams and Logistics Department at Head Office. S/he must also ensure collaboration and organized planning and resources utilization with HRP Regional Programme Managers for the effective programme delivery.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be an experienced Assistant Regional Logistics Coordinator who will be responsible for ensuring that all GOAL logistics polices paper trail and procedures are properly and adequately understood and implemented across all logistics functions of Humanitarian Response and Rural Development Programme offices in Somali Region. To ensure full implementation of the GOAL Logistics Manual s/he should continuously work on implementation of the recommendations and changes as deemed necessary. The incumbent is expected to be proficient in the field of Procurement, Transport, Warehouse and Communications management and ensure implementation of policies and reporting procedures in project offices according to GOAL Logistics manual.
Key qualities, Skills and Competences:
· Excellent team leader and builder, communicator, facilitator and trainer, flexible and capable of working with an international/country team.
· Demonstrated management skills to deal with a myriad of tasks.
· Good computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Willing to travel to remote areas and to camp in the field, ability to work flexibly including weekends and willingness to travel and work in rural locations and live in basic conditions.
· Understanding of the HRP nature and willing to travel and live in field site, with frequent transfer from site to site.
Desirable requirements:
· Ability and experience in change management, including implementing new systems and bringing new and existing staff ‘on board’;
· Experience of managing security issues in insecure/hostile environments:
· Coaching and capacity building skills;
Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary Birr: 9,817.00/month
Transportation Allowance - 10% of monthly Salary
Medical Allowance - Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
Hardship Allowance –30% - 50% of monthly salary based on the place of assignment.
Pension – 11 % from the employer and 7 % from the employee
