In Ethiopia, CRS has a long and rich history of providing emergency relief and development assistance to the people of Ethiopia since 1958. At present, CRS/Ethiopia implements multiple projects through different partner organizations. CRS/Ethiopia has a highly diverse portfolio ranging from very large food-supported emergency response to cutting edge development programs. The current CRS/Ethiopia budget stands at $100 million with funding from the U.S. Government, UN agencies, private foundations, individual donors, and CRS private funds.

Job Summary:
Accountability Senior Project officer is the member of the Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team. S/he is responsible to ensure that mechanisms are in place to fulfill CRS internal policies CRS’ Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning Policies and Procedures-MPP) and key CRS commitments (Core Humanitarian Standard, good enough and other emerging standards) related to accountability. And as country program accountability officer, the position holder is responsible to lead effective implementation of CRS Ethiopia Accountability framework.
Moreover, CRS Ethiopia accountability officer is a resource person for key accountability roles related to: coordinating projects and CRS leadership efforts; establish feedback and response (FRM) system; assist information sharing and community participation process, and capture and share learning identified through accountability system.
