Purpose of the Position:
The Secretary/Cashier/Store Keeper, under direction of RC Manager, enhances effectiveness by providing information management support. Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of visitor arrival; maintains security and telecommunications system. S/he ensures the day to day office management and cash movement of the organization in relation to cash payments, receipts and maintenance of cash value items. S/he completes delivery by processing and loading orders. Performs a variety of shipping/receiving, stocking activities; stores and distributes supplies and equipment; maintains inventory and stock records; may serve as a lead worker to other classified staff in the area; and perform related work as required.
Scope:
The Secretary/Cashier/Store Keeper coordinates office activities and performs secretarial/cashier assignments for professional or management staff in support of the on-going operations of the office. Secretarial assignments include such duties as office coordination, scheduling meetings, preparing and maintaining office records, reports, and correspondence pertaining to the professional's and/or management staff's area of responsibility. S/he is also responsible for all warehouse operations activities including shipping and receiving, deliveries, coordinating stock, documenting warehouse transactions, maintaining records, and overseeing storage of surplus inventory and property for the organization.
