Line Manager: Director, Regional Program Support
Major Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist the Regional Program Support and In-service Training Director on organization of HIV/AIDS related trainings tuned on the three 90’s through creating regular contact with technical staffs, regional offices and trainers at twenty priority SNUs.
· Provide technical assistance on documenting promising practices and success stories and share to the wider audience
· Assist Regional Program Support and In-service Training Director and regional directors on availing data to support continues performance improvement
· Work with clinicians and with local HIV care and treatment teams to implement the national guidelines for HIV care and treatment of adults tuned with the three 90’s.
· Responsible for dispatch and confirmation of and related training correspondences e-mail, fax and hand delivery.
· Backstop Regional Program Support and In-service Training Director in maintaining communication with staffs and implementing partners on HIV/AIDS related training tuned on the three 90’s.
· Assist in the development, revise and produce HIV/AIDS related training documents (Materials, tools, checklists…)
· Work with the Regional Program Support and In-service Training Director., FMoH, RHBs and other developmental partners in identification of contact of trainees and trainers
· Responsible for collection of Training information management system (TIMS) forms, checking for completeness and proper recording of same in ICAP database and record files
· Ensure proper implementation of HIV/AIDS and related trainings
· Maintain and update HIV/ADS and related training database for all ICAP-sponsored trainings, workshops and meetings periodical check-up for data harmonization in the database
· Archive all surge and related training information such as TIMS both in hard and soft copy, trainers and trainees evaluation result and training report.
· Regularly communicate the HIV/AIDS related training data to FMoH, RHBs and ICAP regional office for update and support them how to use the information for decision making.
· Support the institutional capacity building process on planning, coordination, and providing direction for the HIV Care and Treatment programming
· Prepare HIV/AIDS and related training invitation letters and communicate with ICAP regional offices and Regional health bureaus.
· Develop and maintain HIV/AIDS and related training program files including correspondence with staffs, conference organizers, regional offices and partners, keep records of TIMS forms chronologically
· Follow up on the preparation, signature and distribution of certificate on surge and related training as per the SOP
· Develop quarterly HIV/AIDS and related training schedule with FMoH & RHBs
· Assist in conducting joint supervision and mentoring to town and health facilities.
· The incumbent may be requested to spend 75% of the time on a travel
Required qualification and Work Experience
· MPH with specialty in field in public health
· Minimum 5 years of relevant HIV program management experience in low-resource settings
· Experience in the management, provision and follow-up of IST
· Demonstrated experience in synthesizing and disseminating HIV program best practices and lessons learned to government officials, implementers and key stakeholders
· Excellent English-language verbal and written communications skills
