Intra Health International, Inc. is a sub partner to Amerf Health Africa, a lead partner for the USAID funded TRANSFORM/Health in Developing Regions (HDR)Project. The project aims to achieve increased utilization of quality MNCH/FP services in Afar, Benishangul-Gumuz, Gambella and Somali regions of Ethiopia through increased access to integrated MNCH/FP services at health facility and community levels and strengthened health systems.
SUMMARY OF ROLE
IntraHealth International, Inc. is currently accepting applications from potential candidates interested in serving as the Administrative and Finance Assistant for Transform HDR Project Jigjiga office to support its operation in Ethiopia Somali Region. The Admin and Finance Assistant provides support related to administrative & finance functions. S/he works with the project team in facilitating and supporting the operation and finance activities in Somali region including logistics management, financial transactions and efficient utilization of project resources including project assets, equipment, and vehicles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· In consultation with Addis Ababa office facilitate small procurement of goods and services for trainings, workshops and meetings conducted in Somali region.
· Manage paper work for project trainings and workshop and facilitate payment for training/ workshop participants and related costs
· Assist regional program and administration staff in timely approval of travel authorization, reimbursement of travel expenses, annual leave and time sheet report liaising with the Addis Ababa office
· In consultation with Addis Ababa office facilitate identification of preferred venders for various goods and services requires for program implementation in Somali region
· Assist on carrying out on spot and periodic checks in the field, fuel stations, project sites to ensure that distribution, use of project resources follows IntraHealth and donor policies and procedures.
· Ensuring compliance with administrative policies (e.g. travel policy, per diem policy, etc.).
· Organizing meetings and special events, as requested, including identifying sites, preparing invitations, answering questions, assisting guests at the event, etc.
· Assisting in organizing project staff meetings and internal workshops
· Assist on control advances, reconciliations advances and follow up periodically to ensure timely settlement of advances.
· maintain records of financial documents including hard copies of the payment vouchers and Journals
· Provide other administration and finance support as needed
· University Degree in Accounting, Management or related fields
· At least 2 years working experience in financial management, office administration and accounting with at least 1 years of working on USAID funded projects
· Experience and high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office. Demonstrate experience in use and maintenance of computerized Financial Accounting System.
· Experience in cash management
· Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
· Knowledge of USAID regulations related to financial management.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills in English desired.
