With programming in 18 countries, Right To Play transforms the lives of more than one million children each week, both inside and outside of the classroom. In addition to our work with children, Right To Play advocates with parents, local communities, and governments to advance the fundamental rights of all children.
Right To Play is headquartered in Toronto, Canada and has operations in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Our programs are facilitated by more than 550 international staff and 15,800 local volunteer Coaches.
The Africa Regional Office located in Kampala, Uganda, supports 8 country offices including; Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania.
The Ethiopia Country Office is currently seaching for a qualified and self-driven candidate to join a team of professionals in Ethiopia as a Program Manger.
JOB SUMMARY
The Program Manager reports directly to Country Director (CD) and technically to the Director, Africa Programs or Director, MEA Programs where applicable.
The incumbent is responsible for program planning, design and `development, fundraising, partnerships, representation and program implementation. He/she is also responsible for effective financial management, reporting, budget monitoring and donor compliance. The PM leads and directly manage a team of professional staff to ensure quality program implementation.

The incumbent provides advice to partners, government line ministry’s staff, stakeholders or any organization/body involved in Right To Play work on Program related issues.

PLANNING AND ORGANIZING
The incumbent is expected to plan the activities for the entire program in coordination with the team and in line with the approved country plan. However, the incumbent is required to have some flexibility in the plan to respond to urgent needs

JOB CONTRIBUTIONS/IMPACT
(A) PROBLEM SOLVING
The incumbent is expected to deal with variable problems using analysis, problem definition and alternative solutions development. Seeks the CM’s support when required.
(B) FINANCIAL IMPACT
Accuracy of budget is of essence and consequences of error are serious in terms of resources, ability to complete work at hand and RTP’s image. The incumbent is expected to make sure that the implementation of the program is within the approved budget.
(C) INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
The incumbent is expected to generate reports and share findings from program experiences with the CM and higher reporting levels. The incumbent is also expected to share the experience with other PMs in the region.
The incumbent is responsible for observing and evaluating the project and activities implementation and recommending changes and amendments accordingly.
(E) RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
The incumbent is expected to enhance relationships with partners by staying in regular contact and requesting feedback on ongoing projects. He/she is also responsible for maintaining positive relationships with all staff.

WORKING CONDITIONS
(A) PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND EFFORT
The incumbent will be dividing his/her time between the office and the field based on the need to attend stakeholders meetings, conduct field visits and follow up on project implementation.

ADDITIONAL JOB RELATED CONDITIONS
