The post holder is responsible for planning, organizing, supervising the implementation, and reporting of all emergency Education activities for the Assosa Sub Office. He/ She is directly accountable for ECCD and EiE Officers.
Accountabilities
To provide overall coordination of Education in Emergency (EiE) project of PIE in the intervention areas.
To implement, monitor & follow up and report all EiE/recovery projects in accordance with funding agreement and budget allocation made by Plan International Ethiopia’s Country Office and Program Area’s (PA).
To assess the outputs, outcomes and impact of program interventions and activities of Education in Emergency and host community education programs.
Facilitate EiE project implementation in collaboration with Regional, Zonal and woreda education offices and provide reports on weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to PIE PA and CO and all concerned bodies.
Representing PIE in in high profile different education technical working meeting, cluster, camp level coordination meetings and other technical working group meeting as necessary.
Holds daily (plenary), weekly (one on one) meetings with key staff; ensures minute-taking, record keeping and the timely and systematic follow-up of action points;
Promotes and abides by Plan policies and procedures including but not limited to: Gender equality mainstreaming, Child Protection Policy; Code of Conduct and the related mandatory reporting responsibilities.
Educational Qualification and Experience:
A minimum of BA/BSc degree in Education, Educational Psychology, Educational Administration, Pedagogy and other related fields with three years of practical experience in the position in similar organization.
Knowledge:
Substantial knowledge and experience in Emergency Education
Previous experience of managing and developing a team and the ability to lead, motivate and develop others
Ability to analyses information, evaluate options; think and plan strategically
High level of communication both written and oral.
Excellent Knowledge of Computer applications like Excel, Word, Access and Power point.
