· Plan, implement and facilitate IMC’s ARC program livelihoods related interventions in the refugee camps and host community areas;
· Develop selection criterion based on the program’s objective to identify the most vulnerable potential migrants target groups;
· Actively conduct beneficiary selection, targeting the people at risk of migration in their current environment, in close collaboration with ARRA/UNHCR and Woreda authorities;
· Conduct research and analyze key issues related to livelihoods of the beneficiaries in the target area including access to the existing opportunities like small and micro enterprises (SME), microfinance and community savings institution ;
· Identify the need of the target groups and recommend feasible strategies/business options for their livelihood by conducting needs assessment and market survey ;
· Ensure the high quality and timeliness of IMC’s livelihoods and income generating activities;
· Organize and establish round table discussion with ARRA and other stakeholder to increase opportunities for youth and both through enhancing youth employment and through entrepreneurship;
· Facilitate relations between IMC, the target communities, and local authorities, taking particular care to consider youth and women’s’ specific needs in livelihoods
· Facilitate the establishment of self-help groups of women and youth business associations in collaboration with microfinance institutions to identify and develop market links for their products;
· Provides guidance and leadership to staff community facilitators and volunteers under supervision and ensure smooth communication regular updates about the project and beneficiaries and local stakeholders;
· Provide technical assistance to young people on the move in designing profitable income generating activities and alternative/complementary business activities
· Conduct and analyze Value chain assessment and analysis for capacity building of young people on the move on business and vocational skills with ARC-team;
· Identify livelihood options and potential income generating activities in close cooperation with the regional relevant sector offices and ARC team
· Support the ARC program team in development of appropriate start-up grants transfer system to project beneficiaries in collaboration with the ARC program team and maintain accurate records of the same;
· Support the ARC program team in facilitate provision of start-up grant to young women and girls/self-help groups for small business;
· Provide technical mentorship and supportive follow up;
· Establish and maintain a good rapport with project beneficiaries, as well as local government officials, community leaders and relevant local organizations;
· Harmonize the implementation of livelihood activities for youth ensuring good collaboration and networking with other partners operating in the area;
· Prepare, regularly review, and implement the activity plan for livelihoods, as per requirements under the projects;
· Regularly monitor and evaluate the projects performance, provide timely inputs, feedback and impact of the livelihoods interventions in Dollo Ado by designing relevant check lists
· Bachelor Master’s Degree in Economics/Business Management, Agricultural Economics; Marketing or similar discipline.
· 5years+ experience in livelihoods, self-help groups and other savings and loans programs including SME etc
· Experience in working with refugees, displaced and migrant’s people at a grass roots community level.
· Experience in working with different networks, associations and GO and NGOs partners.
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
