Core accountabilities |
Team Transportation · Ensure safe transportation of staff, visitors, consultants and partners to and from various destinations for project purposes. · Support in any dispatch and delivery of correspondences to various government partners. · Make pick-ups and deliveries of project correspondence. · Observe the highest standards of discretion, integrity and personal conduct. · Develop and maintain a regular schedule of the vehicle service, insurance and licenses for specified vehicle. · Prepare and submit reports to Procurement and Logistics Coordinator on planned FHFE vehicle movements. · Conduct daily routine checks of the specified vehicle - oil, tyres, etc. · Maintain vehicle log book and other related records as required. · Prepare a report on vehicle performance records on a quarterly basis. · Ensure that all accidents and incidents are documented and the report shared with immediate supervisor and the Support Services manager and the relevant government authorities. · Ensure that the specified vehicle has the necessary tools at all times. · Perform other duties, as required to meet the objectives of the project team. |

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge | Qualifications · Minimum valid 3rd grade driver license. · Secondary School certificate. · Membership of local accredited drivers association (or equivalent). Experience · Minimum of 3 years’ experience working experience with reputable NGO’s and/or firms. · Excellent driving skills including long distance. Knowledge · Knowledge of working languages, English, Amharic and Afan Oromo. · Good knowledge of Ethiopian traffic regulations. · Good knowledge of Customs and RTA regulations. · Good knowledge of the road networks within Ethiopia. | Qualifications · Diploma in Auto mechanic is an added advantageous for the role. Experience · Work experience in international nongovernmental organizations is an asset.
