Future Hopes Integrated Development Organization (FHIDO) formerly known as Christian Children Fund CCF and Arada Child and Charitable Society is an indigenous, non-governmental, non-profit, secular, legally registered Ethiopian resident charity working to building self-reliant and self-sufficient generation in Ethiopia through comprehensive and sustainable development approach. Its vision is to see responsible, self-reliant and empowered citizens in Ethiopia. Since 1986 to 2010 FHIDO was an area coordination office of the then Christian Children Fund CCF. After September 2010FHIDO reregistered as Ethiopian resident charity and become operational in the ten districts of Arada sub-city and two districts of Burayu town in four core programmatic areas namely, Early Childhood Development (ECD), Basic Education, Youth Development and OVC care and support programs.
Currently, FHIDO is implementing a project entitled “Enabling Orphan and Vulnerable Children to Access Quality Education in Arada Sub- city” in partnership with ChildFund Ethiopia and ChildFund Korea. The aim of this project is increase access to quality education services to OVC through tailored direct support and improve income and resilience capacity of target children parents/ guardians. However for the past years, FHIDO ,relevant government stakeholders in the sub city as well as other development stakeholders do not have sufficient information on the socio economic situation of OVCs which serve as evidenced based intervention to effectively redress OVCs in an integrated manner.
As part of this project and other similar interventions in the future, FHIDO is planning to address the meagre information existing on the socio economic condition of OVCs which hindered for evidence based interventions to address their problems. This necessitated for gathering and collecting information regarding OVCs in the sub city so that a comprehensive intervention of OVCs will be ensured both by FHIDO and will pave the way for other development partners operating and planning to operate in the sub city to have firsthand information on the situation of OVCs to plan and address their situation thereby contributing in redressing the problems of OVCs based on practical needs for sustainably integrating them in the society.
Therefore, FHIDO intended to outsource the assessment to qualified and competent consultancy firms who fulfill the understated minimum requirements.
