VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund is currently operating in four of the Regional States of the country.
VisionFund MFI is currently looking for candidates for the position of Senior Staff Engagement & Performance Officer. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:
Major Responsibilities:
o Participates in various human resource study and design activities;
o Reviews HR strategic documents;
o Assesses the present and future development needs of the Company in collaboration with the HR Management Division in human resource planning activities;
o Conducts analysis, prioritize needs and prepare development plan;
o Balances the immediate needs of the processes with the long term developmental requirements of individuals;
o Prepares development and training action plan;
o Ensures that there is a consistent application of approved personnel policies and regulations on staff training;
o Prepares short term, medium term and long-term HR plans of the Company and submits for review and approval;
o Gathers information and prepares HR related statistical data for short, medium and long-term HR Planning purposes;
o Based on the outcomes of the training and development need assessment, determines the training objectives and prepares a training schedule in collaboration with the HR Development Team Leader;
o Identifies suitable courses to meet the training and development needs of the staff and the organization and follows up plans to see them through;
o Assists the Manager HR Management Division in the development of short term and strategic planning of the human resources of the Company;
o Prepares and administer education program;
o Communicates the program to process owners and conduct the education or other development programs;
o Communicates trainers and participants to conduct training through the schedule;
o Follows-up and evaluates training/education programs;
o Schedules meeting, training, workshops & seminars;
o Conduct pre and post training evaluation;
o Performs post education evaluation, analysis and update on the database;
o Conduct impact assessment and update the database;
o Prepare HRMD detail activity reports monthly, quarterly semi-annual &annually;
o Institute and manage a consistent performance mgt system that ensures the MFI to meet business requirements and transformational dynamics;
o Periodically evaluate and propose any change/adjustment required to the performance management system of the MFI;
o Coordinates and follow up frequent and timely coaching is provided to staff;
o Assists managers to set SMART performance targets and ultimately ensures that performance contracts are properly aligned to JDs;
o Review completed performance appraisals for all staff to ensure the performance appraisals are aliened to performance contract and monitors performance gap trends within the MFI;
o Promote and facilitate the establishment of high performance culture throughout the MFI
Qualification, Skill and Experience:
§ MBA/BA Degree in Human Resource Management, Management or related field.
§ A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience, out of which 2 years in senior position.
§ Integrated knowledge and understanding of human resources concepts, practices, systems, and procedures;
§ Ability to interact and deal with people;
§ Excellent planning, organizational, analytical and decision-making skills;
§ Firm belief in teamwork and gender equality;
§ Basic computer skills;
§ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
