JOB SUMMARY:
The position holder is responsible for the implementation of SC in Dollo Ado ,he/she should working closely work with the woreda Health Office, Medical Directors, community, and religious leaders, HWs, HEWs, and CHVs for the effective implementation and linkage of CMAM program with the community and facility. In addition, the position holder is also expected to provide a consistent and high quality programme in SC and overall nutrition, take anthropometric measurement as per the standard (national protocol) in relation to CMAM implementation and he or she will make sure that admission and discharge criteria is respected as per the national protocol. He/she will also oversee overall health and nutrition implementation in the woredas of Dollo Ado.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
· Supports and liaise with the health centre staff and provide on the job training and capacity building where required,
· Admit patient to SC center
· Makes sure that CMAM program is implemented according to the National protocol i.e. application of the admission and discharge criteria, closely monitors and strictly follows anthropometry measurement
· Facilitates the trainings under the project
· Makes sure that the health staff have adequate training on the management of SC as per National protocol
· Giving care to the SC admitted children
· Giving medication and other essential nutrition
· Reports any problems in a timely manner to the CMAM Officer
· Coaches and supervises the SC Activities
· Upholds the image and values of SC at all times,
· Performs other related tasks as required and tasks assigned by the organization.
· Creates and maintain relationship with local health and other authorities and try to link CMAM program with the existing health structure smoothly,
· Provides a daily/weekly/and monthly over view of drug items, SC materials and wet ration stocks supplied to beneficiaries, Drugs, F100 and F75
· Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly report and submit to Reporting Officer
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
QUALIFICATION
· Nurse/midwife and Public health
EXPEREINCE
· Minimum 2 years working experience for BSC and four years’ experience for Diploma holders out of which one year experience directly related to emergency health & nutrition particularly SC
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY
· Knowledge, training and experience in CMAM and community mobilization/BCC
· Demonstrated skills in program planning, implementation and monitoring.
· Demonstrated skills in peer group training, Training of Trainers and development of training materials.
· Proficiency in spoken and written Amharic, English and Local language.
· Strong computer (Microsoft skills), all and interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
