Conduct weekly material requirement planning (MRP) analysis of known inputs, and incorporate any potential business in the future to determine net purchase requirements, and execute corresponding vendor’s purchase orders.
Collaborates with Production Planning / Engineering to validate the monthly forecast and its corresponding bill of materials’ requirements against net inventory position targets.
Coordinate inventory transfer between factories to maintain safety stocks and minimize production disruptions. Coordinate raw material distribution from vendor to manufacturing locations.
Analyze weekly inventory movements by factory, and ensure physical and systemic workflows are streamlined to effectively manage the raw materials inventories.
Manage raw materials’ lifecycle through a formal product development process, minimal order quantities (MOQ), spec change coordination, and reduce expenses stemming from slow moving and obsolete items. Responsible to document changes and thought process, and communicate it appropriately to all interested parties.
Evaluate and introduce new suppliers to the vendor mix and establish supplier selection criteria based on supplier evaluations of price, quality, delivery, certifications/if applicable/
Ensures sourcing/purchasing strategy reflects the consistent utilization of local vs overseas suppliers. Develops supplier backup contingency program.
Purchases and maintains proper spare parts in inventory that will balance tying up capital with minimizing plant downtime
Maintains proper inventory of chemical supplies
Interfaces with production personnel to allow repairs to be made to minimize the impact on production
Manage internal logistics, including storage, delivery, pick-up, transportation routes, staffing, etc.
Manage external logistics, including delivery, pick-up, transportation routes, business partners, etc.
Manage / coordinate delivery, forecasting, and ordering activities between factory and suppliers.
Skills required
Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel
Negotiation and decision-making skills, communication, analysis and strong business sense.
Experience using business analytical skills including facilitating requirements sessions and documenting activity workflows and business requirements.

Required Qualifications and education:
Degree in Operations Management /Management or related field such as: Supply Chain, Distribution Mgt or Logistics Mgt
5 years and above experience in manufacturing purchasing, supply chain / logistics
5 years and above experience with Material Requirement Planning
