MEAL System Development and Management
Learning and Knowledge Management
Technical Support and Capacity Building
Undertake continuous staff capacity assessment and develop capacity building plans and provide trainings and capacity building for field office staff (MEAL and program staffs) on MEAL as required
Ensure and that sub office and camp based staff are using up-to-date MEAL system and when require work with the team strengthen the MEAL system through close support and collaboration with program mangers/coordinators and other program staff
Programme design, research, evaluations, assessments and other studies
Lead in Project MEAL system designing and components (monitoring, evaluation, assessment/baseline, accountability and learning) are appropriately planned for and adequately budgeted in the process
Develop/ensure projects/programmes have SMART objectives & indicators, MEAL plan and are in consistency to each other
Follow up and periodically assess and update changes in children needs (especially deprived children) in the project areas
Participate in/lead ToR preparation, in project/ programme baseline, evaluations, researches and assessment activities and maintain evaluation tracker and actions trackers for the implementation of evaluation recommendations.
MINIMUM QUALFICATION AND EXPEREINCE
Academic Qualification
· B.A/B.Sc Degree in relevant field in Statistics, education, social studies/works
Work Experience
· 4 years of relevant experience in management and leadership of humanitarian projects in child protection and education sectors
· At least 2-3 years of experience in development of M & E systems
· Comprehensive understanding of refugee response in Ethiopia; Successful work at various levels refugee programs
· Experience with projects funded by USAID/BPRM, UNHCR and ECHO
Skills and Abilities
· Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and research skills
· Excellent coordination, supervisory, and interpersonal skills Proven record in negotiating diplomatically
· Knowledge and understanding of technology, research, new trends and latest innovations
· Have strong computer background in Microsoft Access, Database Management and strong analytical experience in SPSS, and others statistical software
· Most possess excellent spoken and written English language skills, and Amharic.
