The duties and responsibilities of this role fall into the following four categories:
Support inception phase research and analyses, focused on project strategy and technical design
· Lead identification, assessment and selection of honey producers in assigned areas
· Support other inception phase analyses
· Support Project Manager to develop high quality reports and presentations, as needed
Ensure excellence, efficiency, and efficacy of project trainings
· support overall planning and organizing for trainings for beekeepers, enterprises and possibly cooperative leaders
· adapt existing training materials for Honey Farm college and other trainings;
· develop new training materials as needed and in consultation with the team
· manage and oversee training observations and training evaluations for the project; directly carry out training observations and evaluations when necessary
Supervise and Support 2-3 Business Advisors and manage key relationships in assigned geographic areas
· support recruitment and trainings of Business Advisors
· supervise, coach and mentor BAs to effectively implement Honey Farm College trainings, manage Farmer Trainers and stakeholder relationships, other assigned tasks required for successful implementation and troubleshoot challenges
· For BAs supervised by SBA, actively support their professional development through regular performance feedback and reviews
· support Project Manager to develop and maintain comprehensive work plan
· Host guests to visit project areas as needed
Support the development and rollout of traceability system and other project priorities
· promote and advance gender equity and environmental sustainability through project activities
· practice adaptive management and promote learning within the team, working closely with M&E colleagues
· A true passion for and commitment to economic empowerment of poor smallholder farmers, especially women
· Demonstrated experience with designing and conducting training, particularly for agribusinesses and/or men and women smallholder farmers
· Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, public policy or other relevant discipline with 5-7 years’ work experience, from this 4 years of relevant professional experience.
· At least three (3) years of professional management experience – ideally a blend of private sector and international development
· Experience working in relevant geographies
· Knowledge of, familiarity and experience working with private sector companies in Ethiopia, local government counterparts, cooperatives and Farmer Trainers
· Excellent English writing skills, with attention to detail, and ability to consistently produce well-structured written reports free from grammar and spelling errors
· Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
· Strong interpersonal/people management and organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication skills a must, including report writing and presentations
· Willingness and ability to travel domestically frequently, between project areas
· Strong skills in business software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
· Fluency in written and spoken English and Amharic; other Ethiopian languages a plus

Preferred Qualifications and Capabilities
· A Master’s degree in business, economics, public policy or other relevant discipline with 3-5 years work experience
