Mhealth Consultant for Providing Routine Technical Support for the Mobile Workers at Shebe Sombo Woreda Health Office, Jimma Zone, Oromia Region
Background:
The Last Ten Kilometers 2020 (L10K) Project of JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc., with funds from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), and United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), provides FMOH/RHB centered Systems support in RMNCH in areas of community engagement /Woreda transformation, quality of health care in RMNCH, addressing equity on health care in RMNCH in identified equity zones in agrarian regions L10K operates (Amhara, Oromia SNNPR and Tigray) and data quality and use. .With additional funding from UNICEF L10K Works on health extension program optimization to address newborn health at community level.
As [art of support to address quality L10K is supporting the Ministry to leveraging innovative mHealth Intervention that would enhance the RMNCH outcomes. This intervention among others has been designed to support the routine healthcare services delivery at the health post level. The RMNCH mhealth solution was designed and developed with the objective of improving timelines, coverage, quality, equity and strengthen the referral communication at the PHCU level. The first phase of the project is being implemented in 4 selected woredas from Amhara, Tigray, Oromia and SNNP region.
To accelerate the usability of the RMNCH mHealth solution by the mobile workers in the day to day routine healthcare delivery, JSI-L10K is looking for experienced consultants on the area of providing technical support on the RMNCH mhealth solution.

Place of Work: Based in Addis Ababa with frequent travel to Oromia region Shebe Sombo District
Duration: 3 months
Responsibilities
· Monitor user activity data and trends based on the data available on the server and HMIS reported data in coordination with the L10K Mobile Health Team
· Follow up with users on a weekly basis to identify any challenges, provide supportive supervision for users, as well as continued follow up plans to address usage concerns and project trends
· Provide remote and in-field support to the users for appropriate use of mobile application
· Installation of the RMNCH mobile application on tablets and phones and do the necessary configurations and setups including security related issues when needed
· Conduct and provide on-job training to the mobile workers when needed
· Identify challenges and collect feedbacks from the mobile workers and compile the reports using error log sheet
· Provide and facilitate the TOT and end-user training that will be given to HEWs, Midwifes, Focal person and other responsible experts on appropriate use of the L10K mobile applications
· Support and guide the mobile workers on the provision of the RMNCH services to eligible clients and recording of the RMNCH information accordingly
· Prepare and share the Weekly/Monthly performance report about the usage of the mobile solution by the mobile workers
· Monitor and evaluate the RMNCH outcome improvements on the basis of the defined RMNCH indicators
· Other related tasks as per the request of the mHealth Advisor
Required Qualifications and experience:
· Required more than 2 years of practical technical experiences on the area of eHealth/mHealth.
· Excellent comfort level with mobile phones and learning and manipulating new software platforms
· Knowledge and skill of using CommCare ODK is preferable
· Good understanding of the health system of Ethiopia including community health information and HMIS
· Good interpersonal communication skills, believes in team work
